TV 2 has acquired the WTA rights until and including 2026. All the tournaments can be watched on TV 2 PLAY, and the vast majority of them including all Clara Tauson's matches are also shown on TV 2 SPORT.

Since 2017, TV 2 has had the rights to show tennis from the women's WTA tennis tournaments, and now TV 2 has extended the rights to apply until 2026.

- We have been privileged to follow the last seasons of Wozniacki's career, and now we are just as excited to be able to follow Clara Tauson at the start of what looks like a similar, great career. We could not have wished for a better start than Tauson's great win in Open 6ème Sens - Métropole de Lyon this weekend, which also attracted many viewers to TV 2 SPORT and TV 2 PLAY. So we are very happy, says Kristian Hyldgaard, Channel Manager for TV 2 SPORT, and continues:

- With both WTA and ATP on TV 2's sports channels and TV 2 PLAY, we look forward to being able to follow the two great talents Clara Tauson and Holger Rune for the next many years. This is completely in line with our strategy of focusing on the great Danish athletes on TV 2 SPORT, and with TV 2 PLAY we have the opportunity to show several tournaments and several matches at the same time.

In addition to the WTA, TV 2 has the rights to show ATP tennis until 2023 as well as the prestigious Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon until 2022. TV 2's sports channels and TV 2 PLAY together provide the opportunity to experience some of the biggest stars in tennis – who among the women are Ashleigh Barty, Naomi Osaka and Simona Halep, and on the men's side are Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

About 50 WTA tournaments annually on TV 2 PLAY
The WTA rights include about 50 WTA tournaments annually. All tournaments can be watched on TV 2 PLAY, and the vast majority of them as well as all Clara Tauson's matches are shown on TV 2 SPORT.

On TV 2's team of tennis experts and commentators we find Michael Tauson, Patrik Wozniacki, Tine Scheuer-Larsen, Kenneth Carlsen, Peter Bastiansen, Morten Christensen, Henrik Jensen, Simon Tordrup, Ulrik Jönsson, Jimmy Bøjgaard, Thomas Bilde, Martin Gottschalk Aksglæde and Camilla Nørgaard.

Next week, the best female tennis players will play in St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy, and hopefully Tauson will succeed in qualifying for the tournament, that is shown on TV 2 PLAY and TV 2 SPORT.
