New collaboration between TV 2 and Strive means TV 2 SPORT and TV 2 PLAY will broadcast a major Spanish or Italian league match per week, while TV 2 PLAY customers will soon be offered more matches between Europe's top teams at a reduced price.

Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A are two of Europe’s strongest leagues. For the last five years, nine out of ten teams in the Champions League finals have been from Spain or Italy and during the same period the winner has been either Real Madrid or FC Barcelona.

Now, TV 2 SPORT and TV 2 PLAY viewers get access to games from the two strong Spanish and Italian leagues. TV 2 has entered into an agreement with Strive, the channel, showing live coverage of both leagues, meaning TV 2 SPORT and TV 2 PLAY will be showing a top football match from one of the leagues each week.

In addition, the deal lets TV 2 viewers follow the two leagues closely on TV 2's platforms - especially online on tv2.dk and through TV 2's daily sports news broadcasts on TV. The agreement runs from 2.-3. February 2019 until summer 2021.

In a few months, TV 2 PLAY customers may subscribe to Strive’s streaming service Strive Sport at a discounted price and obtain access to 20 matches per round of La Liga and Serie A.

Strengthening Denmark's largest sports channel
The new deal with Strive is met with equal enthusiasm by TV 2 PLAY and pay tv director Stig Møller Christensen of TV 2:

The collaboration with Strive also opens the opportunity for TV 2 to offer TV 2 PLAY customers with ‘Hele Pakken’ (full package subscriptions) access to Strive’s Strive Sport streaming service with full access to La Liga and the A Series at a discounted price. This will be introduced later.
